You would have thought that John Cleese would be a rich man - famous around the world after shows like Monty Python and Fawlty Towers, he was then in some big comedy films too. In fact, this *did* make him rich, but despite having also written a best selling book on relationships, he was divorced from his 3rd wife,and now had to pay her $12 million over the next 7 years.
Not a fan of doing stand up shows, he admits he has to do it for the money and is not impressed about it!
It's a familiar story, and many many people have had to work jobs they don't like in order to pay a divorce settlement.
The wedding industry is still going strong though, and even more so online, and it's here that you can make your money.
People will be interested in the John Cleese situation, and if you write about it online, you can get people's attention.
Then you can direct them to a site which can earn you commissions from sales.
It may be a wedding site, and there are plenty of them, or it may be a site showing how to make money from home - either to pay for the wedding, or the maybe the divorce! Both of those markets are established online, with large numbers searching and spending money. This means you do not have to do the research, they are ready made for you to tap into.
Cleese has called his show The Alimony Tour, and it's no surprise that he is able to see the funny side of it, but it's certainly possible for anyone to make money online from John Cleese's divorce.
